Senator Ike Ekweremadu,

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founder, Ikeoha Foundation is Senator Ike Ekweremadu, current deputy president of the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Speaker of the Parliament of ECOWAS. He was born in 1962 at Amachara Mpu in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria, and holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Law from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987. He has been Principal Partner of Ike Ekweremadu & Co, a vibrant firm of solicitors and advocates based in Enugu. Between 1991 and 1997 he had a stint as Associate Professor in Law in his Alma Matter, University of Nigeria (Enugu Campus) lecturing in the areas of Constitutional Law and Labour Law. He founded Ikeoha Foundation after leaving office as the first Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government Council in 1997. Senator Ike Ekweremadu has been a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Enugu West Senatorial District since 2003. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, and also a member of the Order of Knights of the Good Shepherd in the Anglican Diocese of Enugu and Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (CFR). Senator Ike Ekweremadu believes that irrespective of the fiscal challenges of growing economies, basic social amenities should be part of the fundamental rights of people.




Lady Nwanneka Ekweremadu

Lady Nwanneka Ekweremadu, the vice chairman of the Board is a co-founder of Ikeoha Foundation. She was born September 10, 1966, and holds a Bachelor of Education (Accountancy/Economics) degree and MBA in Accountancy. She was formerly a teacher at the Federal Government College, Enugu, and now works in the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, Abuja. Her love for the downtrodden is such that she has been an avid campaigner of public accountability in service delivery. A staunch women’s rights advocate, she has done a lot to alleviate the suffering of those she has come across, and believes that the personal sacrifices her family is making on behalf of disadvantaged people cannot be compared to the joy she feels each time she receives accolades from people whom her philanthropy has helped weather the storm of poverty and powerlessness.





Engr. Jonathan .A. Ivoke

Engr. Jonathan .A. Ivoke is a member of the Board of Trustees, Ikeoha Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, MNSE. He is currently, the Secretary for Transportation, Federal Capital Territory Administration, Abuja, an office he has held since 2011. Before this time, he was in private practice as structural engineer and managing director of Bambo Construction Engineering Ltd.
